4th round league cup draw

during the Barclays Premier League match between Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur at Anfield on April 2, 2016 in Liverpool, England.

Liverpool have been drawn to play Tottenham Hotspurs in the 4th round of the English League Cup.

Liverpool have gone up against Tottenham once already this season and both teams came away with a single point from a 1-1 draw that nobody won, but this competition requires a winner to make it to the next round so we’ll be required to get a victory this time if we want to keep on going all the way to the Final again.

Liverpool were in the Final of the League Cup last season and unfortunately were runners up to Manchester City after a penalty shoot out which decided the winner to be our opponents. This season, Liverpool have gone up against Burton Albion and Derby County so far and scored a minimum of three goals per game to defeat them and progress.

The competition’s fourth round will include these fixtures:

West Ham United vs Chelsea

Manchester United vs Manchester City

Arsenal vs Reading

Liverpool vs Tottenham Hotspur

Bristol City vs Hull City

Leeds United vs Norwich City

Newcastle United vs Preston North End

Southampton vs Sunderland

Fixtures are due to be played around 24th October. We’ll have the exact details including kick off time nearer then.

I hope you look forward to our exciting League Cup 4th round fixture. You’ll Never Walk Alone, Anfield Family.

I’m an Englishman (born and raised in Liverpool in the 80s). My whole family including my parents and grandparents were Liverpool fans so I was born into being a red.

I’ve seen Liverpool win the league (more than 25 years ago) and I’ve been 100% loyal and committed while supporting the Reds through all the good times AND the bad times since the 80s
