Alberto Moreno a Liverpool player?
Liverpool are continuing negotiations with Spanish side Sevilla who have demanded a larger percentage of the agreed £18M for their player be sent to them immediately.
Liverpool always knew the price tag of Moreno and were willing to pay it – once the player had passed his medical and was ready to join Liverpool. That’s the way almost all transfers are handled. You don’t get all your money until the medical is passed because if he failed his medical he would NOT be able to join his potential new club… and then all the “UP FRONT money” which was paid in advance would have to be reimbursed by Sevilla. Nobody wants this kind of thing to happen, but Sevilla need to realize how to handle transfers in the correct way.
Sevilla may not be very experienced in the transfer market, but Liverpool know how to handle their finances properly and the deal should be completed if Sevilla get all their money. Moreno is still due to fly out to Liverpool for his medical this week.
This really isn’t good for Liverpool. When inexperienced clubs who rarely get to deal with multi-million pound players start making demands to be paid “up front” it makes Liverpool look bad, as if they don’t agree to these demands Liverpool don’t get their player (which greatly frustrates the fans) and if they DO agree to it, they look like they can be held to ransom by anyone for many millions of pounds. A lose-lose situation for Liverpool.
Should we be sending Sevilla an email saying “WE DO NOT NEGOTIATE with terrorists”? OKAY, so technically what they’re doing isn’t terrorism, I’m just making a joke at how extremely demanding Sevilla have been, dealing with this transfer.
In my opinion, I do actually hope Liverpool get to sign this player, he is indeed a EUROPA LEAGUE FINAL WINNER! He went all the way to the final of the Europa League with Sevilla and got his winners medal. He’s officially a proven European competitor and for a side that now only has ONE player from the 2005 Champions League Final victory in Istanbul (STEVEN GERRARD) left playing in our current squad, Liverpool really need more players like this who are proven in European competitions.
Only time will tell if he is to join his new club or not and Moreno is set to fly out to Liverpool and if he can do that before Sevilla make more demands for payments of millions of pounds, the deal should be completed.

I’m a die hard Liverpool fan (only supported ONE club in my whole life, Liverpool) and one of the most dedicated fans you’ll ever meet.
