1. How long has it been since you supported Liverpool FC?
Some of the earliest memories of my childhood include the ones when I used to watch games of Liverpool with my dad. So, I believe that it has probably been over 26 years.
2. How did you become a Liverpool fan?
Like I mentioned earlier, I used to watch the Premier League on TV with my dad from a very young age. I still vividly remember a game when thousands of fans at Anfield chanted the Liverpool anthem ‘You Will Never Walk Alone’, which I had heard for the first time and I really loved it. After that I started watching all the games featuring Liverpool and really appreciated their game play that included a lot of passion and charisma. While most other members of my family support Manchester United, I have been the only Liverpool supporter.
3. Who is your favorite Liverpool legend and why?
I would actually choose two players: Stevan Gerrard and Fernando Torres. Gerrard is an absolute legend, who has served the club really well throughout these years. Meanwhile, it may look like a controversial choice, but I think that Fernando Torres is definitely one of the best players in the number 9 Shirt. He and Gerraad combined really well and they formed an excellent partnership. I really loved his style of play and still have his shirt.
4. Who is your current favorite player in the team?
A lot is probably going to disagree with me on this one, but my favorite on the current squad is Mario Balotelli. I love his attitude and believe that he just needs some more game time to fit in the squad. He has amazing skills and potentials which I enjoyed watching even when he played for Manchester City. I think that Balotelli and Sturridge can make a formidable partnership that can wreak havoc on the opposing defense like Suarez and Sturridge.
5. Which one player do you suggest the Liverpool board to buy for the next season and why?
It would be Jackson Martinez. He is an amazing player and has a good eye for goal. I would also recommend signing Barcelona’s number 7 Pedro as we have the number 7 shirt vacant after Suarez left.
6. Given the chance to watch Liverpool play at Anfield, which opponent would you choose and why?
It would definitely be Manchester United. I would love to see them defeated by Liverpool this season too.
7. Which new signing in Liverpool are you most happy with in the current season?
Emre Can! What an amazing player he has developed into! Full credit to Brendan Rodgers. It was amazing to see him make a really successful transition from a midfield player to the defense.
8. Your favorite Liverpool match that you watched live?
It has got to be the 2005 UEFA Champions League final at Istantbul. The story of the game just feels like a perfect script! No wonder why it’s considered to be one of the most amazing games ever played in the history of football!
9. Your favorite Liverpool goal?
My favorite goal is the long range hit by Gerrard during the FA Cup Final in 2006 against West Ham United. In simple words, it was an amazing goal that suited the occasion. www.youtube.com/watch?v=vD80XYD1FvU
10. What’s your expectation for Liverpool this season?
I expect Liverpool to at least finish inside the top 4 spot. Fingers crossed, hope that we will qualify for the Champions League.
11. What’s the most memorable thing that you have done as a Liverpool fan?
A couple of years back, I once walked into a pub in my town opened by Manchester United fans. I dared to go into the pub, wearing my Liverpool shirt and also sang ‘You Will Never Walk Alone after we won! It was absolutely memorable.
12. Your message to other Liverpool fans.
Whether we win, draw or lose keep on supporting the mighty reds and the manager. Be a true red at heart.
