Let’s hear more from him.

Name: Rodrigo Garretón
Age: 28
Address: Santiago, Chile
Occupation: Graphic designer
Interests: Football, comics, video games

1. How long has it been since you supported Liverpool FC?
I began developing an interest towards football when I was just 9. It was around 2000 that I began following the club.

2. How did you become a Liverpool fan?
I first watched a Liverpool match in 2000 and their gameplay really impressed me. It was kind of ‘love at first sight’ watching the Reds play with the likes of Owen, Gerrard and Carragher. Then the Anfield atmosphere simply left me awestruck at that young age.

3. Who is your favorite Liverpool legend and why?
Gerrard all the way! The level of passion and intensity in his game, his respect for the club and the fans and the way he strikes the ball: how can any Liverpool fan not love that? I think I speak for many when I say that he’s the latest addition to the LFC legends pantheon.

4. Who is your current favorite player in the team?
It has to be Coutinho. However, we have many amazing talents in the club right now and I believe that it will be unfair to take just one name. Lallana has become one of my favorite players. Milner is brilliant and has become Mr. Reliable. Firmino and Mané are amazing players and combine wonderfully together. And Hendo and Lovren are essential members of the Klopp system.
Yet, Coutinho has something magical about him and him being a Liverpool player feels just right.

5. Which one player do you suggest the Liverpool board to buy and why?
Personally, I’d love to see a Chilean player in Red. The rumors of Gary Medel joining Liverpool did get me really excited and I think he will be a great addition to the team. He has an amazing passion for the sport and the talent to be on the squad.

6. Given the chance to watch Liverpool play at Anfield, which opponent would you choose and why?
Wow, that’s a tough one. The Merseyside Derby would be wonderful, a game against the scums would be dreamy, but I believe that the most perfect occasion to be at Anfield would probably be at the matches where Liverpool face Borussia Dortmund.

7. Can you recall the most memorable Liverpool FC match that you watched live?
Our last game against Borussia Dortmund (April 14, 2016) was perhaps the most memorable match that I have watched live. To turn the tables the way the Reds did that day was simply a miracle and the memories of the last goal from Lovren and the team celebration following that goal are still fresh in my mind. What a day that was!

8. Your favorite Liverpool goal?
This season’s Hendo’s goal against Chelsea: tremendous strike!

Another wonderful goal I still remember was the header from SG at Istambul against AC Milan. It was not the prettiest of goals, but what an amazing way to start a legendary comeback!

9. What’s your expectation for Liverpool for the current season?
I have this belief that under Klopp we will win the Premier League. This season I am hopeful about Liverpool winning the league and hopefully we will regain our rightful place as one of Europe’s giants in the coming years.

10. What’s the most memorable thing that you have done as a Liverpool fan?
Well…I have the Liverbird tattooed on my arm: pretty memorable isn’t it?

11. Your message to other Liverpool fans.
Dear brothers and sisters, walk on! Support the club, support your LFC family wherever you are, and have faith: we’ll raise again if we go with hopes in our heart! YNWA!!!
