Kolo Toure Released By Liverpool
Experienced Ivory Coast defender Kolo Toure was among the names of 4 released players announced by Liverpool on Friday. The defender, along with Jerome Sinclair, Jordan Rossiter and José Enrique have all been released by the club.
Toure represented Liverpool for 3 consecutive season after signing for Liverpool as a free agent after representing Manchester City for four seasons alongside his younger brother Yaya Toure. Kolo made 49 appearances and scored 1 goal for the Reds.
It was speculated that the 35-year old player would be offered a coaching role by Liverpool. However, Toure decided to further extend his playing career, instead of retiring early.
Jerome Sinclair has already signed for Watford, while Jordan Rossiter will be representing Scottish champions Celtic Rangers under former Reds manager Brendan Rodgers.
