Lambert on the verge of signing for Liverpool
Rickie Lambert is almost certain of becoming a Liverpool player. After passing a medical overseen by Liverpool’s official doctor, Zaf Iqbal, Lambert is inching closer to the possibility of wearing the famous Red jersey next season. The value of the deal is expected to be worth around £4 million. The striker is set to be offered a 2-year contract.
The England international striker is all set to make his dream return to Liverpool after spending his early teens at Liverpool’s youth ranks. Before signing for Southampton in 2009, the striker played for Blackpool, Macclesfield Town, Stockport County, Rochdale and Bristol Rovers.
The 32 year old striker will be joining the England team heading towards Brazil for the World cup friendlies and the main event.
In the 2013-2014 season, Lambert scored 14 goals in 37 Premier League appearances for Southampton.
