LIVERPOOL DRAW BORUSSIA DORTMUND in Europa League Quarter Finals
Liverpool have been drawn against German side Borussia Dortmund for the Quarter Finals of the Europa League.
The entire fixture list for the next round of this competition is as follows –
Europa League Quarter Finals draw:
Braga v Shakhtar Donetsk
Villarreal v Sparta Prague
Athletic Bilbao v Sevilla
Borussia Dortmund V LIVERPOOL
These quarter-finals will be played on 7th April (1st leg in Dortmund, Germany) and 14th April (second leg in Anfield, Liverpool).
Jürgen Klopp’s most successful period of management in his entire career was between 2008 and 2015, when he managed Borussia Dortmund. He didn’t ever play for them (the only club he both played for and also managed was Mainz) but he did get to know them well during his time as their manager and spent many years building a strong squad – which won the Bundesliga twice, the German Pokal Cup once and German SuperCup (twice) during Klopp’s management. It’s generally considered that Jürgen Klopp is the reason for their turnaround from being a mid-table average Bundesliga side to a strong title contender for all cups and trophies available to them. Right up there with Bayern Munich.
All of this (and perhaps also even his time at Mainz) were all part of the reason why Liverpool and our fans wanted Jürgen Klopp so badly, of course. He knows how to build great things from scratch. He’s been given the foundations for success and Liverpool are lucky to have him already building a new era at the club which Reds fans expect to be bringing great things for us all.
Borussia Dortmund should now be afraid that their former manager is just about to sweep them aside as he goes on to greater things than a Quarter Finals, of course. He’ll want to reach the Semi Finals and he’ll want to reach the Final. That’s all of what’s on his path to greatness with Liverpool. He’s proven he can reach Finals already, as we played Manchester City in the 2016 League Cup Final. I have full confidence in him to go on to the Europa League Final also. But first, we’ll have to deal with Borussia Dortmund. Nobody ever got to a Cup Final without winning the Quarter Finals and Semi Finals first! We’ll take this one round at a time for now.
Dortmund are no pushovers, but then again are Manchester United and we’ve beaten them very recently in this competition, so that we could be a part of the Quarter Finals. We’ve taken down English giants and now we’re ready to take down some German giants, too. Having spent so long at the club, Jürgen Klopp surely knows more than their strengths… he knows their weaknesses too! We’ll be more prepared for this side than any other team we could have possibly faced thanks to our manager.
Jürgen Klopp’s ready for this! Are you ready for this?
Walk on, with hope in your hearts and You’ll Never Walk Alone, Anfield Family.

I’m an Englishman (born and raised in Liverpool in the 80s). My whole family including my parents and grandparents were Liverpool fans so I was born into being a red.
I’ve seen Liverpool win the league (more than 25 years ago) and I’ve been 100% loyal and committed while supporting the Reds through all the good times AND the bad times since the 80s.
