Nigeria seem to have improved their form, if only a little. They have gone from a boring goalless draw with Iran to beating Bosnia 1-0. At least they scored and won this time, but they still won’t win any awards for “most exciting team of the World Cup”.

The first half had plenty of action with about twenty shots aimed at the goalkeepers, including some free kicks.

The Nigerians opened up the scoring around 29 minutes for what was to be the winning goal of the game when Peter Odemwingie scored the only goal to give Nigeria a victory that means World Cup first-timers Bosnia will not progress from Group F to the knockout stages.

KEY PLAYERS: Peter Odemwingie and John Obi Mikel would control the play and Odemwingie would eventually grab the winner to give the Nigerians at least 4 points and a good chance at qualification to the last 16.

Manchester city star striker Edin Dzeko could not manage to salvage a point for his country despite playing well in this game and having some chances denied by the Nigerian goalkeeper.

I’m an Englishman (born and raised in Liverpool in the 80s). My whole family including my parents and grandparents were Liverpool fans so I was born into being a red. I’ve seen Liverpool win the league (about 25 years ago) and I’ve been 100% loyal and committed while supporting the Reds through all the good times AND the bad times since the 80s.

I’m a die hard Liverpool fan (only supported ONE club in my whole life, Liverpool) and one of the most dedicated fans you’ll ever meet.
